High Effiency Top Load Washer Buying Guide
Consumer demand for front load washers has been drastically increasing due to the additional capacities, energy efficiency, and improved clothes care these machines offer. As with any newer technology, the growth in this category has not come without disappointed customers. This is achieved by earning the highest level of energy efficiency from the Consortium for Energy Efficiency – Tier III!
High-efficiency top load washers use superior cleaning systems as well. These systems provide better cleaning results and less wear and tear on clothing. For example, Whirlpool's Direct Inject Cleaning System showers the loads with a concentrated solution of water and detergent that eliminates the need to pre-treat stains and their 6th Sense Technology measures the load weight and size and automatically calculates the optimal wash action to achieve the best cleaning results.

Should I get a Frigidaire or Whirlpool?
I am torn between a Frigidaire Affinity Front loader or a he Whirlpool Cabrio. I have heard that the newer model shake the whole house---I don't need that. It will be on the living room/kitchen level with the basement below. The floor will be a wood floor. Please answer promptly. I need to make a decision quickly. By the way, I now have a rusting Whirlpool Gold which has been pretty good. Thanks for your help.
Whirlpool - I have had other washing machines that shook, walked themselves across the room - but never have I had any problems like that with any Whirlpool I ever bought.
A little tip: Whatever brand / product you choose to purchase, make sure you level it when you install it. That helps with the shaking and walking issues as well.
