Ease of Access & Superior Refrigeration With Pass Through Medical Refrigerators

Medical refrigerators are designed specifically for the storage of medical supplies. The main frame that supports all the components of the refrigerator is made of high-quality PVC. This is then lined with steel throughout the body of the refrigerator.

The entire Cooling Unit is installed perfectly within the frame of the refrigerator. PVC offers a lot of flexibility during the molding process. It can also be used as a base to mount and fix steel and other synthetic polymers. The entire refrigerating system with its wires, coils, etc is sealed off from the external environment through a back panel. This panel is fitted behind the refrigerator. The entire wiring of the refrigerator including the innumerable wires made of copper also go in here. It is closed completely to prevent electrical shocks. In front, the refrigerator is accessible through solid doors. Therefore, in most medical refrigerators only front access to the system is allowed.

The latest models of medical refrigerators, also known as pass through refrigerators, have front and back access to the cooling unit. These are very sophisticated. They use a different blueprint in their manufacture. Having doors on both sides does not affect the efficiency and temperature maintenance properties of the medical refrigerator. The front doors, in this case, are made of glass, while there is also present an additional set of doors at the back. The back doors are solid. You also have an option of one, two or three doors within the wide range of models available in the market. The wiring in these medical refrigerators is slightly different due to the use of the additional feature of back doors to open the refrigerator.

The solid back doors of the refrigerator are lined with foam. These doors, the exterior front of the medical refrigerator and the sides are made of colored steel. It is white in color to prevent excess heating of the refrigerator. The interior panels of the doors are also white in color.

The top and bottom portions of the refrigerator on the outside are made of galvanized steel. This is to prevent the rusting of the steel. Sometimes, even the back of the refrigerator is made of solid galvanized steel. During the process of defrosting, water tends to collect in the bottom panel and galvanization prevents the steel from further harm and damage. Galvanized steel is very expensive as the steel is treated with zinc to prevent corrosion. Depending on the model of the refrigerator, the back is also covered with high-grade baked enamel. These are then painted white all over. The white color helps keep the refrigerator cooler using the same amount of electricity and also results in the faster dissipation of heat.

Therefore, a variety of materials are employed in making the back of the refrigerator. Chemical fabricants are also used. Some synthetic materials like polypropylene have been used to make the back of the refrigerator. Polypropylene is a synthetic polymer. These artificial polymers are much cheaper when compared to steel. They bring down the overall cost of the refrigerator.

Filtered water dispenser leaves white spots on black refrigerator door :/?

Last fall we bought a new Samsung refrigerator that is black and has a water/ice dispenser built into one of the doors. Our water comes from a city well and leaves water spots on my black car unless I use the Mr. Clean autodry carwash which uses a water filter. The fridge also has a water filter that I've changed twice now, but any time water drips down the door and dries, it leaves white marks which are very difficult to remove. What can we do to stop this from happening?

Add an additional filter to the supply line in the back of the fridge (or under the sink where the supply valve probably is). Dont just get the cheap charcoal only filter either.
