I have a Duet washer/dryer. The advantages that I've found are that you use less water. You can really stuff the thing with clothes and mine spins so well that drying time is greatly reduced. The disadvantages are that you have to use more expensive (but less of it) HE detergent, you might have to bend to take clothes out if it is not on a pedestal and they are generally more expensive to purchase. So far I love mine.
