I have a KitchenAid dishwasher and have had it 3 years. I do not have a water softner in my house and never have. The dishes and glasses were fine until a few months ago. That's an optimum temperature for dishwashers and not so hot you'll take your skin off in the shower. Sometimes it helps to run the hot water in the sink until it's good and hot just before starting the dishwasher. Second, be sure you're not putting too much detergent in the dishwasher. We switched to the prepackaged pellets in our house. Third, be sure you're not overloading the machine and that nothing is blocking the rotation of the spray heads. If that's happening the machine can't properly rinse the dishes after the wash cycle. Fourth, try using the anti-streak products on the market.
