Clothes dryer stopped working all together - is it the motor?
My dryer won't turn on and makes a horrible burning smell when I push the button that's supposed to turn the dryer on. You can hear that it wants to turn on but the motor or whatever doesn't want to turn over. Is it the motor that is burned out?
Try opening the door, holding in on the door switch, push the drum by hand, and see if it will start. If it will go when you push it, it is probably the motor. Check and make sure the belt is good and tight. Also, make sure a foreign object hasn't gotten down into your blower assembly and blocking the blower from turning. That will also make the motor not turn.
