Also try to notice if the gauge seems to be the same throughout the sink. You do not want any weak spots. There are different colors of copper to buy. Some are weathered copper, shiny reddish copper like that mainly sold in the US, and brown copper. Patina is the coloring process that goes on as time passes. It gives copper character and is a natural process.

Will a different color granite kitchen countertop on the island look good since the island is a darker wood?
Cabinet colors are a cherry wood. The island is scraped black wood with red coming through from underneath. The countertops are black granite. I found a white granite with red, black, and copper specks in it for the island... is that a mistake??? Its a huge kitchen for a 6000sq/ft home so its an open space.
Sounds absolutely perfect. The contrast is the best solution. Just look at any kitchen design magazine and you will see this type of solution. Especially given the large space. spice it up and go for it.
The key to using two granites together is to keep one pattern tight and simple and go for more movement in the other. Color contrast is also a plus.
