Cooling Unit

Keeping your cooling units safe
The cool fall season weather can be very refreshing after months of experiencing the summer heat. When the time comes, people usually think of their home furnaces and get everything ready and functioning for when the winter season arrives. In most cases, ceilings get repaired, the lawn is mowed and raked, and the heating system is checked too. After everything about your living conditions have been kept safe from the upcoming cold weather, always remember to store home appliances and other light outdoor furniture in a protected space or coverings. The air conditioning unit has been working hard all summer long, for window type air conditioner installations', make sure to protect your precious cooling equipment by removing them during the winter season. Drain out any water that is left underneath the filter trays and put it back in the box or any safe indoor storage for that matter.
Air conditioning units are very important in every home. To make them last longer, shelter them when they are not in use to keep dust and other particles away from affecting its parts. For the duration of the winter season, the weather can drop as much as zero degrees and it would be very difficult to defrost the frozen window type air conditioners which would result to having another air conditioning installation. When removing the unit from its frame, expect to find debris to be stuck inside. You can clean it up by using a water hose from the inside so the fragments will be hosed out away from the unit and technical wires.
You don't need to wrap your units in plastic as they might accumulate moisture that can let molds breed in, so just store it in a cool dry place and it will be safe until you use it during the spring season.

Where is the sending unit that controls the cooling fans on my 97 Chevy Z-28 Camaro?
I just replaced the Water Pump on my Camaro. Now my cooling fans are not coming on. There is a sending unit that screws into the water pump. Does it control the fans? If so, what color wires connect to it? I may have plugged in the wrong connector to it?
The Pcm controls the fans. You might need to bleed the air out of the system. Get a book for your car or find something online for free.
