My newly built house has a badly installed gas fire. Can I make a compensation claim against the builder ?
A CORGI inspector has inspected the fire and considers it be unsafe. Thankfully no-ones health was damaged but it could have been a completely different story.
In addition to the builder replacing the gas fire, am I entitled to claim some sort of compensation against them. After all they could have killed me and my family.

It would have to have been fitted by a Corgi fitter. Your first port of call should be to the Corgi website to complain. If he loses his Corgi certification, he will not be able to work.
